MARCH 2nd – Av. JAIME I
Is your carnival costume already prepared?
Hurry up and do not miss the tons of activities we prepared for this March 2nd in Sant Joan d’Alacant such as music, dances, entertainment… during the whole day, and a contest where there will be a special award for the best cinema costume.
IV MARDI GRASS Parade. Councillorship of Culture.
Participate and enjoy with “Le Jazz Hot Band” and the dance group “Lindy Hop Alicante” a parade with the New Orleans’ style, where live music and swing dances are the protagonists. Adults and children, come wearing your costume or dressed up with necklaces, hats, masks or any kind of carnival items to go through the municipality’s streets filling them with colour.
12:00h. – Departure from Plaza Constitución. Route: C/Severo Ochoa, Municipal Park, C/del Carmen, C/Capitán Martí, Av. Jaime I, Olivo’s roundabout, C/Tomas Capelo, C/ la Ordana, Plaza Ordana. Return to Avd. Jaime I, through C/Mercado and Rambla.
CARNIVAL “TARDEO”. Organised by Junta de Peñas del Cristo.
13:00h. – Bar opening Peña “Ens Bevem Fins el Gel!”. Food and drinks will be offered during all the carnival celebrations in Jaime I.
13:30h. – Once the Mardi Grass finishes, we will enjoy a mini-concert by “Le Jazz Hot Band” and we’ll continue in Av. Jaime I with music with DJ, dances and bouncy castles for all the attendees until the evening.
CARNIVAL FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. Councillorship of Festivities.
17:30h. – COSTUME CONTEST, organised by the Festivity Committee of the municipality, snack for all participants, DJ, and entertainment for children.
18:30h.- Concert for children CRAZY DREAM.
Enjoy during all the evening the children games, bouncy castles for all ages, workshops and carnival dances with “Piruette” and “New Generation”.
20:00h. AWARD CEREMONY. Individual and group categories.
Special award “Festival de Cine Sant Joan” for the best cinema costume.
NIGHT CARNIVAL. Councillorship of Festivities and Junta de Peñas del Cristo.
21:00h.- Start the night enjoying the parade of Carnival Samba with the dance group “Fanny Blasco” and the batucada “Merakimera”.
22:00h. – Concert “SATIRIC ROCK BAND”, live show with Ribonucleicos Teatro.
23:30h. – Mobile disco with DJ until the end of the party.
