The Maestro Climent Elementary School of Music and the authorized Vila de Sant Joan Professional Centre have consolidated a dozen stable artistic groups and other chamber groups, notably the band, the symphony orchestra and the choral society.
EIn 2001 the Maestro Climent Elementary School was created in order to teach music to all those interested. Although it was born with the purpose of promoting a solid teaching to candidates aspiring to join the band, success and demand were so overwhelming that the teaching offer had to be expanded. At present it has 38 teachers with experience and official qualifications giving a total of 23 subjects. In its educational model, instrumental practice is tested at the group level. It introduces folklore and jazz in the academic offer, as well as technological advances that allow the progressive learning of music.
Since 2010, the La Paz Musical Society has been in charge of the first authorized centre of musical education of intermediate level in the province of Alacant, the conservatory known as the Vila de Sant Joan Professional Centre. Here students can study, take exams and obtain an official degree. Instrumental specialities authorized by the educational authorities are woodwind (oboe, clarinet, bassoon and saxophone), metal wind (horn, trumpet, trombone and tuba), bowed string (violin, viola, cello and bass), percussion and piano.
The subjects taught in the official professional centre are the following:
Woodwind instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and saxophone.
Brass wind instruments: French horn, trumpet, trombone and tuba
Bowed string instruments: violin, viola, cello and double bass
